Terence Babb

Terence Babb is the founder and President of Tbabb Insightful Media Group.
Born in Geneva Switzerland of Barbadian parents, Terence experienced different cultures from a young age. As the son of a diplomat he lived in England, Belgium, Venezuela and Barbados, finally migrating to Canada by himself at the young age of 19.

From a young boy, Terence was always fascinated with the visual arts, and he was hardly ever without his sketchbook, drawing to his heart’s content. When he received his first camera, a hand-me-down from his Dad (who was an avid photographer and documented his life as a diplomat) it was instant love! Suddenly his passion had evolved to still photography and eventually video.

Terence followed “his love” to Canada, where he graduated from OCA (now OCAD) in new media, and went on to work in the industry with companies that include Revolver Films, YTV, CBC, HGTV, GLOBAL TV, HISTORY CHANNEL, TMN and more. Finally opening his company Dog Does Tricks in the late 90’s.

Throughout his career as a Commercial Director, Terence has worked with Brands like Hakim Optical, Chapmans Ice Cream, LG, HoneyComb Cereal, SunRype, Right To Play, Miss Vickies, Woodbridge Wines, Ddrops, SpinMaster Toys, Black Opportunity Fund, Skin Vitality…to name a few.

Aside from running a business, his disciplines include creative writing, editing, producing, directing and more recently shooting some of his projects, as he still likes to maintain a hands-on, personalized approach to all his projects.
Terence’s passion to create is innate and his ability to connect through his work is drawn from all his experiences living and travelling to different countries and immersing himself into their cultures.

Today, he is an award-winning producer and director dedicated to leading his band of talented industry creatives in crafting compelling videos and films. From thought provoking mini-docs and high end commercials to leading-edge brand campaigns and philanthropic and social storytelling, Terence prides himself on his organization’s signature approach, top-tier content and award-winning video marketing for companies and causes.
